During the past couple of months I’ve been working as a Quality Assurance Engineer at the Gameloft studio in Bucharest, working on different projects, some mediocre, others outstanding. Recently Gameloft announced the release of Asphalt 6: Origins(Adrenaline), one outstanding racing game for the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. I’ve been working on this game in my first month here, and even thought it was in an early stage of development, it sure packed some mean punches. I later on got transffered to another team that works on different projects, from RPG’s to racing, sports and card games and I had little to no interaction with Asphalt 6 for a while, until I tried out a new version a few days ago.
The game improved drastically in both controls and graphics, and I’m not over judging when I say that Asphalt 6 will shadow all it’s predecessors, including the overpraised Asphalt 5. I’m not allowed to give out any spoilers, nor do i want to, so I won’t talk about it’s features yet, but I can leave you with a teaser trailer and a couple of screen shots, as well as a list of cars that will appear in the game.
